Reversing Gut Issues With Diet
Two months ago Sharla was referred to me by her doctor for IBS, acid reflux and candida overgrowth. Along with that she also had a mild case of hypothyroidism, which was making her feel sluggish. She had gained about 10 lbs. and was struggling to get her gut issues resolved.
Sharla liked all the right foods so working with her to come up with a diet plan was not hard. One of her biggest issues was being too “good” during the day and finding herself grazing on the wrong things all evening. My first goal for her was to get her eating regular meals and snacks throughout the day so that she wasn’t setting herself up to binge at night. She has lost 10 lbs., a total of 8 ½ inches and about 5 % body fat! In addition, she told me her gut issues have drastically improved and she actually loves eating her fermented foods.
