Losing Weight With Accountability and a Healthy Diet
I decided to seek help with my nutrition after trying to lose weight for about 2 months. I had gained weight slowly through the past year after beginning menopause. I was having trouble sleeping and had a lot of joint pain.
I thought I was eating fairly healthy, but I was always hungry. I was tracking my food and trying to keep my calorie count down. After speaking with Mary, I realized I was eating foods that had a lot of chemicals in them and too much sugar by way of fruit. I was also eating out too much, and snacking at the wrong time.
I started the Detox on July 22nd, I lost 9 ½ pounds in 2 weeks, and my digestion and sleep habits improved. I’ve continued on with the Lifestyle Plan and have lost 10 more pounds in the past 5 weeks. I feel better, less joint pain and have lots of energy when I work out. I feel this is a lifestyle plan that I can continue, it’s not difficult and the good news is I’m not hungry anymore. I am really enjoying some of the foods Mary recommends. My husband did this with me, and he lost 17 lbs. and is also enjoying the food we are cooking. My goal was to lose the weight before we started a 500 mile walk across Spain (the Camino) and I met my goal and am so glad I will not have to carry 20 extra pounds across Spain.
