Eggnog Breakfast Shake
Every year around this time I buy one carton of eggnog and enjoy the sweet, creamy goodness as a special treat. I love eggnog! If it wasn’t so rich and high in calories I would probably drink it all year round. Unfortunately, drinking eggnog doesn’t fit into my clean eating Lifestyle Plan so I decided to come up with a recipe for a healthy breakfast eggnog shake that I could drink whenever I get the urge for that yummy taste that reminds me of Christmas.
This shake is really easy to make and you could vary it to either be a complete breakfast shake or have it as a snack by modifying my Chia Seed Milkshake recipe, using the nutmeg in place of the cocoa or carob. Either way it comes out creamy and sweet with just enough of an eggnog taste to feel like a cheat. Try it with a dash of rum extract for another variation. Just a few ingredients make up this healthy shake.
If you are following BodyDesigns Two-Week Detox Plan you will be happy to know that this breakfast shake is detox friendly and can be used in place of your morning shake on the program. I hope you enjoy it and I’d love to hear from you. Please connect with me on social media and be sure to follow me on Pinterest and Facebook for more easy and clean recipe ideas.
