Specifically, she has provided on-going education about nutrition and healthy meal preparation, recipes, taught me how to prepare healthy weekly meal plans using foods my family likes. She does not distribute “one size hopefully fits all” weekly meal plans to her client! Prior fitness trainers handed me a sheet of paper with 1 daily meal plan to follow with no regard to food preferences, allergies, need for portability, or need for variety.
Mary also creates a customized plan to maintain my strengths and develop my areas of weakness; sets weights to provide challenging workouts without risk for muscle strains or injury and accounts for extended illnesses and absences when planning my first week back.
Mary has demonstrated excellent interpersonal and coaching skills and great listening skills. She coaches me through sharing her knowledge about the barriers getting in my way and helping me to develop a realistic plan of action to get back on course.
