How to Meet Your Weight Loss Goal This Year

With the New Year upon us it’s time to start thinking about our New Years Resolutions. At the same time, we might reflect back on 2023 and assess how we did last year at meeting our goals.

Begin each year with specific goals

At the beginning of each year I make a list of specific personal and business goals that I want to achieve over the next 12 months. Being a bit of a type A personality, this puts the pressure on me to make my year meaningful. There is no greater feeling of accomplishment than reflecting back at the end of the year to see that your goals were met.

In the past I set my goals and worked hard to achieve them with perseverance to be successful at each one. Over the past two years however, life began to throw me curve balls that interfered with my motivation or ability to meet my resolutions 100% of the time. Perhaps I was overambitious when setting my goals but either way, I still feel good about the list I can check off and say I accomplished. There’s no shame in reaching high and accomplishing some but perhaps not all.

Motivation comes from within – how much do you want to reach your goal?

When it comes to my clients, most of them have goals to lose weight or improve upon their health. Its disheartening to watch as people I care about begin the new year full of aspirations that they will finally lose that weight or get off that medication only to find themselves back to the same place 365 days later. Where did that healthy spirit go after the first month or two of the year passed us by?

Motivation to stick with our goals has to come from within. It’s almost a spiritual thing. I get frustrated that I can’t motivate everyone to make the changes necessary to see weight loss and optimal health. I’ve learned to be satisfied with the people who I can help and who are successful and keep trying to find new ways to help everyone else.

A weight loss plan that really works!

I’m a huge believer in changing a lifestyle NOT going on a diet.  I do believe though that a little boost helps people go a long way so thats why I’ve developed a Lifestyle Diet Plan and a Two Week Detox Plan that work together for best results.  For over 35 years I’ve worked with people one on one helping them lose weight and I’ve never seen such incredible results. Nearly 100% of the people that do my detox diet plan not only lose weight but also see significant improvements in their health and continue to lose more weight when they transition to a personal Lifestyle Diet Plan.   I see such incredible shifts in attitude and health that I feel confident I’ve got a formula that works!

As we start 2024, I want to challenge all of my clients, family and friends to pick two weeks in January to complete BodyDesigns’ Two-Week Detox Plan. My plan will take you through the process of eliminating foods that make you sick and fat while adding nourishing foods that heal your liver and gut. Why is this important? Because we now know that weight loss and health go hand and hand. What makes you fat also makes you sick! If your liver and gut are not healthy you won’t be able to lose weight and your frustration will soon lead to you giving up.

Educational and a simple to follow this program will change your life

My book will educate you about the importance of healing the body so you can easily shed fat by eating the right foods. The plan starts your day with a satisfying protein shake and uses real food choices for meals and snacks throughout the day. A cup of organic coffee is allowed so don’t be in fear of giving up your morning “cup of joe”.  Coffee, as long as it is organic, actually has some benefits that far outweigh any negative effects on the body.

The detox plan gets you off of processed foods and sugar along with dairy and gluten. After the plan, you are directed on how to reintroduce gluten and dairy as a challenge to see if you want to keep them in your diet. Most people find that one or both of these foods has been a cause of some inflammation or gastric distress and they decide they like the way they feel better when they stay off those foods.

Following the detox plan, clients that invest in a personal Lifestyle Diet Plan continue to see great results. Testimonials of client success stories are scattered through the book giving you motivation to make permanent changes for optimal weight loss and wellness.

When you set your resolutions for 2024 will they include weight loss or some kind of health goal? If so, I challenge you to try BodyDesigns Two-Week Detox Plan in January. The plan will set you up for success for the rest of the year as you lose weight, get healthy and realize how good it feels to feel good.

  • […] When it comes to making changes in your life, too often we tell ourselves that we are “going” on a diet or “starting” an exercise program.  What you need to be telling yourself is that you are changing your lifestyle and incorporating these changes forever.   The key to success is in how you view these changes you are about to make and accept them as something you really want.   You should write down your goals and why they are important to you and post them somewhere that you can see daily to remember why you wanted to make these behavior changes.  If one of your goals is to lose weight and get healthy check out my blog – How To Keep Your New Years Resolution to Lose Weight.
